Dear Raleys Superstore Manager,
My name is Malik Robinson, and I am a freshman at Merced High School and a member of the Merced FFA Chapter.
This year, I am raising my first market rabbit as a livestock project. Through this experience, Ive learned responsibility, dedication, and the importance of agriculture through daily care and hard work.

I shopped your store today and the only checkout was self checkout. I do not like self checkout. If this is the only way I can check out,I will go to another store.

I was at your store on mira loma tonight see you have just started self check I will not be returning the only reason I go there is the friendly service my look on self check out is i have to do the work pick my own groceries plus check myself out is I should at least i get a 10% discount plus bag my own groceries I worked in the grocery business for many years and i think customer service is more important i can shop at other stores much cheaper but had remained loyal you but after this am changing my mind I will be shopping elsewhere

Have some pride of ownership or just close the store on Douglas Roseville. Old dilapidated store. Never has been updated nor enough help and now selling expired food!
Gift card issues
Every time I try to use my gift card, no one knows how to use it. I have had it for 4 years now because no one knows what to do, so I don't get it myself.

- Security followed them and accused them of stealing.
- No theft; purse and receipt shown; corporate has not responded.
It’s being investigated
Well, I had gone in there to get. A yogurt that they carry well, they didnt have any, so I asked a gentleman when they would be getting some more. He was rude and said he didnt know; check back another day so we get our items, we check out, we get to the door to leave, and he refuses to let us out and tells us to give back what we took from the aisle. I cant remember what aisle, but I kind of looked at him strange, and then he said, Give back what you guys just stole, and I told him we didnt steal anything.
I opened my purse to show him. We didnt take anything. I had bought a travel-size deodorant that I had put in my purse after I paid for it, and he asked me, Is that what I stole? I showed him the receipt and said once again, We haven't stolen anything, so he told us we were over by the health and beauty and medicine aisle for a very long time.
Mind you, my purse was in the cart the whole time; my daughter was pushing the cart, and he could've reviewed the cameras to see we didn't steal anything, but he proceeded to accuse us of stealing, so finally I got mad and told him, We didn't steal anything; now open the door and let us out, so he finally did, and we were kind of arguing back and forth. A security in the parking lot pulled up and asked what was going on, a very nice lady, and I told her what happened. She told me that because I have a big purse, thats why he accused me of stealing. She said anybody that comes in there with a big purse or a backpack automatically gets accused of stealing, and I told her thats discrimination, thats stereotyping, and I even opened my purse to show her.
We didnt take anything; I even told her she could search if she wanted to; she told me that thats not necessary. She believed me, so I called their corporate to let them know what happened. I called once, still didn't get a response, called twice, and still didnt get a response. Call the third time; still didnt get a response, so I have decided to go forward with a lawsuit, and if theres anyone else that has experienced this at their store, please get in contact with me.

By the way, the guy that accused us is a MANAGER SMH; his name is JUAN.Update: Still no response from this company, so that shows they *** this kind of behavior from their employees to treat their customers this way. I guess after a lawsuit, maybe it will wake them up that you can't treat people like this, especially people who did absolutely nothing wrong.
The cameras in the store show we didn't do anything. Just because I have a big purse doesn't mean I'm a thief or I'm stealing.

- Long-time customer asks Raleys to stop plastic trays in stores; believes owners are intelligent and aware of plastic harm.
I am a long time customer and I have been hoping Raleys would discontinue using plastic trays or styrofoam trays. I am positive the owners are aware of the dangers of plastic on mother earth, especially the mass of plastic the size twice the size of Texas floating in our oceans.
Or that humans have particles in their bodies, including babies. Or migratory birds cannot fly their routes do to the weight of plastic in their bodies. I believe that the Raleys owners are intelligent and educated and that they have higher interests and not just the bottom line of profit.
Please remove the use of plastic in your stores. We didn't have plastic in the 40's & 50' and we can do it again.

- Usually there are several clerks who can carry out groceries.
I prefer not to state.
User's recommendation: I love the parking at this store, but half of the time, they lock the main door, so you have to go in and out the same door. Plus, they always seem to be short staffed. This incident is evidence of that.
Good Service, Poor Quality Raley's Brand Products
- Raley's brand products have declined in quality due to cost-cutting.
- Cottage cheese is now very watery and refried beans are like thick soup.
Over the last several months the quality of Raley's brand products has decreased considerably. It appears they are doing tricks to reduce cost but at the price of the product quality.
Cottage cheese is now extremely watery.
Same with refried beans, which are like thick soup now. At this point I'll go with name brands.B

Tow b company pretended they didn't have it said how did I find out they towed it told them chp and sheriff told me said the store manager had it towed not police I'm in process of starting lage law suit against Raley's and tow yard central tow not towed by the California laws and was singled out for the value of car they don't contact me and deliver my car by noon tomorrow civil and criminal suits will be filed in courts and police stations by Wednesday morning

- How to activate savings coupons?
- Old 'something extra' savings are preferred.
- Now you must name items and activate; coupons may fail at checkout.
How many ways is the consumer supposed to activate some savings coupons for this store? The old 'something extra' savings seemed to work just fine but now one needs to let them know what items i'm interested in saving money on before I shop and somehow 'activate' these just to find out (at the register) that they don't qualify? I'm DONE with Raley's!!!

- Online order was ready, but staff asked for the credit card at pickup.
- The card was charged and a hold delays the retirement party.
I understand that we are to read the terms and conditions but how am I to bring a credit card that’s a virtual card. And this was told to that department.
Mind you every other time I was never asked to bring my card. Either keep it one way or the other.
I will run down and explain to you what happened. I had placed an order through the app as I've done before many times. We had a bigger order today for pickup because we're having a huge retirement party. They told me the order was ready.
I sent my husband down to pick up the order. We dont live close by, but this is the closest Raley Nob Hill grocery store, so he goes down there to attempt to pick up his order, and they ask him for the credit card. Had they told us we needed to bring our credit card to begin with, we wouldnt have come without it, but they already authorized the amount, and when we're picking up our items, they decided to indicate that we need to give them our credit card. Now we have to go somewhere else to purchase our food for our retirement party.
It's totally set us back on what we have to do today for our retirees. Mind you, this is for an old people's home, and the fact that they are giving us issues like this is totally wrong.
I could understand if my card was never charged, but it was charged. What makes matters worse is that they are holding a amount on my credit card that will not be released for a few days this is totally unacceptable.

Raleys phamacy is understaffed. Poor workers are frantically trying to fill prescriptions, answer phones, consultations, take payment, do shots.
I feel sorry for them and their customers.
Corporate should be ashamed of themselves and make changes to get enough help. Enough help would cause less turnover
